Multiple Sclerosis is a disabling disease that affects 2.3 millions of people globally. According to the MS Discovery Forum, in the United States alone, 200 patients are being diagnosed weekly.

What Is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis(MS) is considered an auto-immune disorder where the immune system has an abnormal response and attacks the body’s Central Nervous System (CNS). This damage caused to the CNS will stop the brain from sending signals correctly throughout the body, affecting movement, coordination, and balance.

Symptomatology Of Multiple Sclerosis

In Multiple Sclerosis, the white blood cells start attacking the body, affecting primarily the Central Nervous System. They attack the nerves, and the longer the advancement of the condition, the greater the neurological impact.

In most patients, symptoms start with numbness in toes, legs, and arms. Once the condition advances it starts affecting speech, and in severe (advanced) cases it causes the muscles to not respond properly to cerebral impulses.

The most common MS symptomatology includes:

-Numbness in limbs

-Pain-Trouble walking

-Urinary tract infections (UTI).

-Bladder issues, lack of bowel control

-Problems in focusing, and forgetfulness

-Electroshock feelings in the muscles (spams) and muscle weakness

-Tiredness

-Dizziness.

-Depression-Gut issues-Sexual problems.

-Kidney stones.

-In severe cases, it affects the respiratory system, so much so that the breathing is not done subconsciously. Instead, it’s done consciously; if one forgets to breathe, one can die.

Types Of Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis can present itself in 2 ways:

Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis: This particular kind includes irregular symptomatology. Symptoms strike the patient for a few days after which everything goes back to normal. The symptoms continue to relapse and remit (hence the name) which makes the anticipation even more painful than the actual disease.

Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: This type proceeds gradually hence allowing the patient to learn to cope with the symptoms and to regulate habits.

Stem Cell Therapy For Multiple Sclerosis

Stem cells are the cells that differentiate into many different specialized cells in our body. You can learn in detail about stem cells here. Stem cells have a lot of different functionalities among which is modulating the immune system. Stem Cell Therapy(SCT) for MS utilizes this functionality to help prevent the immune system from attacking its own body.

SCT has been found beneficial for multiple sclerosis patients in all stages for it brings the following benefits:

  • Movement recovery
  • Rise in energy
  • Improved coordination
  • Balance recovery
  • Ease in dizziness
  • Incontinence/bladder control

SCT does not involve any risky procedures. It allows the body to heal by using its own resources. It modulates the immune system, unlike traditional medications for autoimmune diseases which suppress the immune system and have a lot of side effects.

As in all degenerative conditions, MS symptomatology can be minimized if adequate therapy is received in early stages to avoid severe advancement of symptoms and increased damage.  Don’t wait until you are not able to do what you love.
